You may have noticed my absence from this website over the past few months. My family has been busy preparing to relocate, a decision that will likely delight some local politicians and city officials. As a result, The West Nip Voice will be taking a pause.
Since retiring seven years ago and settling in West Nipissing, my wife and I have centered our lives around our children. Their busy schedules and passion for pursuing their dreams made this tough decision to move much easier. We’re excited for what lies ahead but bittersweet about leaving this community.
As a non-resident of West Nipissing, I no longer feel equipped to cover local issues with the dedication and insight they deserve. This blog has always aimed to ask tough questions and highlight matters purposely overlooked by mainstream local media, which tends to avoid all controversial topics
I hope others will step up to fill this gap, continuing to shine a light on important local issues and hold those in power accountable. A community thrives when its voices are bold and unafraid.
That’s it for now,
Réjean Venne
For the residence of West Nipissing this is the worst news ever. Obviously for you Rejean, this is good news. I really hope that there will be someone that will take over from you, albeit, they will have pretty big shoes to fill. Thank you for your keeping us up to date on the underhanded ways of this council. I hate to think of what will happen now that there will be no one to let the taxpayers know what really goes on behind closed doors. Again thank you and good luck to you and your family!
All the best in your future endeavours. Will miss your articles addressing important community events with great perspectives.
