I do not feel that West Nip had to sent 4 people to the conference. One could have gone, took notes and reported back to council. This is a complete waste of our tax dollars. A couple of free nights out with meals at our expense. More corruption with this council.
Once again I only observe the hypocrisy and incompetence displayed in times they say "our environment" is costing us more with all our carbon footprint now taxed and billed. With offices heated and the phone and internet already paid for I would have directed these civil servants to attend via Skype or Zoom and put the tax paying revenues towards more pressing issues currently taking place within their care and responsibility which is painfully obvious these councilors and their leader may have forgotten about for the draw to spend frivolous to great. I believe one might even be aspiring to represent Green peoples party who are likely blue now in their disappointment. Once again no leadership to follow here yet. Maybe next time.
What happened to Virtual attendance for these Educational events? That could save us tax payers money to be spent more wisely.
