Thank you Fern and Anne seem to be at least the only ones trying to work for the people and not only to enrich themselves. Shame on all the others. 😡

Staff and Cao approve the hike so they can justify their wage increases. No concern for the struggling tax payer, at all levels of govnt.

Hey, don’t forget they will need that money to fund the new STR bylaw.🤦🏻‍♂️

What about having a petition that I will send personally to the Ombudsman to get those clown investigation once again? Between personal political gain, bulling from the mayor and some councillors, disregard for residents petitions, loopholes to get Anne Tessier mussel, hidden spending and I’m probably forgetting some, this bunch of clown really start to look like our incompetent Federal Liberal gouvernement.

Don’t those councillors knows that they can be lawfully responsible for their actions and inactions? We had it bad with the last council but this one is getting way worst. I see a 5% tax increase every year and even more if this doesn’t get rectified.

I’m open for discussion and solutions on this subject.

We will not commit the community contributions (taxes) to this municipal government as these civil servants have decided under direction of the current incompetent CAO not to operate in a transparent manner. We have instructed them to produce a comprehensive breakdown dollar for dollar on how our taxes are charged and how and to what they ate being disbursed to and they have refused. Something to hide? We believe so. Do your due diligence and simply start asking the current CAO who should have also been replaced with the last incompetent bunch but was left to infect the newly elected who are now also being exposed in their confidence. We will not follow leadership that is not qualified to lead and we will not entrust our financial support to salaries of civil servants we have already terminated. Sovereign Independent until something more qualified comes along and the current expired ability has been replaced.

It looks very much like the CAO and some of the permanent staff are the ones really running the elected council as well as the municipality. It would be interesting to know what kinds of connections these councilors who always go along with staff and mayor have with the CAO and staff. It's almost as if these councilors are afraid of something.

I didn't realized that. Background checks would be interesting.

I'm curious about one thing. Who and how many of the current councilors were on the previous council? I know that Anne T., Fern P. and Chris R. are new. Though as Rejean has pointed out Chris Rivard seems to have effectively recused himself from almost all the decisions of the council itself. A person might wonder why he stays on.

None of the current councillors were on the previous council. As for Mr. Rivard's motivation, my guess and prediction is that he is in this position as a stepping stone to a full-time political position in the future at the provincial or federal level. At those levels, politicians rarely have to take a position on anything and can go their entire career with just following a party platform.

He'll probably have to move or join a different party. I doubt very much if he could get elected on the Green Party ticket around here.
