''New research suggests that maganese may be a problem...." If that is the excuse for delaying prompt action then it is not a very good one. WHO confirmed as far back as 2011 that maganese was a danger to health especially in young children. The US scientific community has been blowing the whistle on this issue since 2018! This is not 'new' research and saying that they did not know the risks just doesn't fly. Here is a link to the research papers. As you can see anyone who cared to know would have found the danger already grabbing scientific headlines as far back as 2009!................https://scholar.google.ca/scholar?q=earliest+research+linking+health+and+manganese+in+drinking+water&hl=en&as_sdt=0&as_vis=1&oi=scholart

Not only does Verner need clean clear water but so do we here in Sturgeon Falls. On many occasions since We have moved onto Church Street we have had dirty brown water. We have been told by the water treatment plant the infrastructure is over 100 years old. Time for some upgrades. No one on our block drinks the swamp smelling, dirty disgusting water.

Hard to believe that a country like Canada could allow this simplest and most basic of human rights, be a years long boondoggle for government and associates. WTF. Where’s The Funds. ? Transparency always scares politicians.

If the governance would use our tax dollars for what it’s meant for, infrastructure, instead of multiple levels of bureaucrats costly meetings, dinners, think tanks, consulting or any other creative ways of living the high life on our dime, the most basic of needs like clean water would never be an issue.

I would like to see an accurate COMPLETE testing of water in all of our areas. Do we have any asbestos from cement pipes? Do we have contamination from the former mill? How is the toxic waste being accepted at our landfill affecting our water source? The horrible water in Verner is just one part of our situation. We should be able to KNOW what is coming out of our taps. Just looking clear is not enough. Will I drink it now? Absolutely not!

Sadly no leadership here and incompetence recognized long ago when Walkerton leadership didn't care either. The hypocrisy a little enduring as they claim to fix one yet dump another for profit to do the same. Deliver the same in drink and in tail as they set you up for your epic fail. Your area is due for its news fame; mine as well make people sick first. If the poisons they say are fine and within perimeters for same consumption then place a glass of it in front of them with that guaranteed toxin amount and except those who drink it as their vote and your voice to aid and abett those who feel it's okay to poison it's children as long as they do it slowly. No leadership of mine would do this so I don't follow.
