Domestic Disturbance Leads to Drug Bust in Sturgeon Falls
$27,000 of fentanyl seized on John Street.
A 29-year-old West Nipissing resident has been arrested and charged following an intimate partner investigation that led to the seizure of drugs and weapons.
According to the Nipissing West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on John Street in West Nipissing on January 22, 2025. During the course of the investigation, officers discovered and seized two air guns and a quantity of drugs suspected to be fentanyl, with an estimated street value exceeding $27,000.
As a result, the individual was arrested and faces multiple charges, including:
Failure to comply with a probation order (two counts)
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
The accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay later this month.
