Municipality Selling Private Island at Deep Discount — Bidding Starts at $38K
At 2.2 acres, Crow Island on Lake Nipissing Hits the Market in Tax Sale.
The Municipality of West Nipissing has announced the public tender sale of a rare private island property on Lake Nipissing. Known as Crow Island, this 2.2-acre parcel of land lies in the West Bay of the lake.
The island, legally identified as PCL 12774 SEC NIP, comes with a municipal assessment value of $470,000, but the minimum tender amount is just $38,033.74—offering a steep potential discount for the right buyer.
The municipal documents indicate that some seasonal structures including bunkies and boathouses are on the island.
Tenders must be submitted to the Municipal Office at 225 Holditch Street, Sturgeon Falls before the July 9th deadline. Bids will be opened publicly and streamed live on the Municipality's website the same day.
More details and instructions on how to participate in the tender process are available via the Municipality of West Nipissing’s website or by contacting their office directly.
