Who owned the drone that was used to survey the Wynn property? It seems that the surveillance was done by a third party and that left no guarantee that personal data would be kept securely. The information collected by that drone could have been shared to any number of computer systems anywhere. To whom was the drone registered? Did the bi-law officer actually have a pilot's certificate? Did the Municipality file an Impact Assessment Statement with the Privacy Commissioner BEFORE sending that drone over the Wynn property? Did the Municipality have a Personal Data Protection Management System in place Before using this drone to spy on private property? These infractions by the Municipality, especially in regards to failure to acquire the property owner's permission, means that the drone use was illegal and there could, and should involve heavy fines. These crimes involve the Ministry of Transportation, the Privacy Commissioner, The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, As to the Mayor's hostile harassment of of her neighbors and using her authority to deny and delay building permits, to pass bi-laws designating the property as protected wet lands, it becomes obvious that the Mayor and CEO should be investigated and removed from office. This is not just an example of some bureaucratic red tape cock-up. This is illegal use of a drone for the purpose of gathering incriminating evidence. The Mayor and CEO have gone too far and must be removed.

This is a direct conflict of interests and a deliberate abuse of power using unlawful methods, I wouldn’t take any less than a resignation of the mayor.

This needs to be investigated by the law ASAP and charges laid. Is this what West Nipissing has become misuse of taxpayers money to harrass taxpayers by using drones. For who's benefit?.

Thanks for sharing the truth. I can only imagine the ordeal the Wynns went through and are still suffering!

This needs to be broadcasted and published front and centre with local media. The next step would be for the Wynns to contact the OPP to launch a criminal investigation. What was done sounds illegal from many aspects. I would expect criminal charges, removals from office, integrity commissioner investigations at the very minimum.

This is truly a sad corrective action for the next election. I was one of the citizens that requested for a full time by-law officer to be hired to correct the many by-law infractions that have yet to be corrected, and yes we have sent in the e-mail and pictures identifying the address and infraction identified from the by-laws. You need drones, just go for a walk around town. So many by/law Infractions visible from the sidewalks but yet, our Mayor is abusing her authority and using our tax dollars to support her personal vendetta/agenda, shame! Give her the boot and elect someone that is responsible and works for the people of West Nipissing. The by-law officers should be out driving around doing preventative maintenance identifying infractions and addressing those residences of non-compliance. What do the by-law officers do when not personally directed by the Mayor?

The question is; who's still funding it? Unqualified incompetence mismanagement and corruption. If you're funding and following it you're likely the problem. Fixing you fixes everything. Stay safe out there folks remember you matter now. Them not so much unless you're the one giving it the powers to thrive. Blessings to all

Another question that needs to answered is, who where the bylaw officers involved with this infraction of law and procedure? They need to asked who ordered them to do this. If they won't answer they need to be disciplined with time off without pay and notations of such put on their records. The initiator of this sorry business needs to be found and treated accordingly.
